"Season’s greetings! We know this is a busy time of year, so for those of you crunching numbers and fine-tuning your 2008 budgets between turkey dinners and Christmas cookies, this issue is just for you. Musicam is quickly becoming the world’s leading source for IP codecs, and we want to help save you money – while at the same time - push you ahead of the technology curve in 2008. Read on to see how!"

THREE THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOU FINALIZE YOUR BUDGET!

  • Investigate using audio over IP: IP is here, it’s hot, and it saves you money, not to mention stress! With IP, you don’t have to pay long distance carriers to be connected. In fact, all you need is an Internet connection and that’s found just about anywhere! Sounds pretty good, huh? Plus Musicam makes your transition to IP extremely smooth! You can use the IP as your primary connection and keep your ISDN line as a backup (or vice versa to start).

  • Speak to a Musicam representative: This step is a snap. Just call 1-732-739-5600 and ask to speak to David Lin or Larry Rutzler. At the very least, you may learn a thing or two about IP uses and how it’s saving stations money all over the globe (yes, we want you to be a star at your next meeting with the boss).

  • Road test one of our IP products: Now it’s time to take us to task. If you have an upcoming remote or a news, musical, or sporting event, our RoadWarrior will be your right hand man to get the job done. If you have any reason for syndication or if you’re exploring how to reduce that T1 line cost for your STL to keep you humming on the air, the Suprima needs to pay your station a visit and show off what it can do. Check out some of their incredible features below:

HERE’S WHAT MUSICAM USERS ARE SAYING
"Compact, easy to use, and versatile, the RoadWarrior is a must-have for broadcasts!"
-- Chris Tobin, 1010 WINS Radio, NYC

"Musicam has another hit on their hands with the Suprima Codec!"
                      -- Dave Immer, Digifon

"The Suprimas are working great! ‘Love the diagnostics! Now we can finger-point with confidence."
                     -- Bob Cook, BCB Electronics

"For the first time, I used the RoadWarrior and Suprima codecs in both ISDN and IP mode for the US Open this year. The ISDN was used for the main program feed with the IP as backup. When using IP, the MPEG 2 format not only gave me the high quality signal, but also saved money by no longer having to use long distance carriers. Ordering a single DSL line allowed me to share the circuits with 3 laptops. For studio use, the Suprima is the way to go, but when on the road, I would recommend using the RoadWarrior."
                     -- Ken Pursley, Digital Broadcasting

    MUSICAM HAPPENINGS

Our RoadWarriors and Suprimas are really making the rounds! When it came down to choosing the right one for the NYC Marathon, the RoadWarrior sat at the finish line, relaying all the action to 1010 Wins Radio. Also, for the Cotto vs. Mosely boxing match November 10th at Madison Square Garden, the Suprima got a ringside seat broadcasting commentary to Russia over ISDN.
