Front Panel Control
The following basic front panel keypad functions will help
you navigate through the NetStar functions. The complete keypad functions are
in the NetStar Users Manual
- From
the STATUS screen, press the ENTER button to go to the MAIN MENU screen.
- Once
in the MENU screen, press the ARROW buttons to navigate to the desired
selection and press the ENT button to select it.
- Once
in the MENU screen, press the desired 1-9 number button to directly go to
the desired numbered selection.
- From any
screen, press the STAT (#) button to go to the STATUS screen.
- Press
the STAT (#) button multiple times to toggle between the STATUS and the
MAIN MENU screens.
- Press
the ESC (*) button to go back to the previous screen. Multiple ESC (*)
button presses will take you to the MAIN MENU screen.
- Press
the DIAL button to directly go to the CONNECT screen.
- Once
connected to another location, press the END button to directly go to the
HANG UP MENU screen.
- Press
the HP SEL button to toggle through the headphone options to monitor the
encoder, decoder, or both simultaneously.

Web Control
One of the easiest ways to control the NetStar 300 or 500
is from any web browser that is able to communicate with
the IP address assigned to the NetStar. The following
basic functions will help you to set up NetStar using the
web browser method. The complete function listing and
explanation of the other control methods are in the
NetStar Users Manual:
- Clicking on the "Status" link will give you the current Encoder, Decoder settings, current connection status, ISDN line status, and NetStar Fault history.
- Clicking on the "Set Mode" link gives you the ability to configure the Encoder, and Receive (Decoder) settings.
- Clicking on the "Connect" link gives you the ability to connect the NetStar by either an IP connection, ISDN call, or a voice call (G.711).
- Clicking on the "Profiles" link allows you to enter or edit User Profiles (speed dial entries)
- Clicking on the "Configure" link allows you to configure the NetStar's ISDN settings, IP settings, Audio Setup, and Ancillary data port settings.
- Clicking on the "Help" link brings up the NetStar FAQ/Help directory.
