"LCD" - Menu Navigation Controls (All Models)

  • "Up Arrow" - The up arrow key is used to move up one level of the menu tree.

  • "Left Arrow & Right Arrow" - The left and right arrow keys are used to move left and right through the menu tree.

  • "ENTER" - The ENTER key is used to move down or forward in the menu tree or to execute the menu tree entry enclosed within the brackets ( [ ] ).

"KEYPAD" - Prima's Alphanumeric/Dial Keypad
(All Models)

The alphanumeric keypad is used to enter all the information required by and for the execution of commands. In addition to the digits 0-9, the entire 26 letter alphabet and limited punctuation is represented by only 12 keys. By repeatedly pressing a key, different characters are displayed, and that character is locked in when the left or right arrow key is used to scroll to the next or preceeding character. The "ENTER" key is used to execute or enter the string of characters.

"DIAL" - Dial and Speed Dial Controls (All Models)

  • "DIAL" - The DIAL key is used for the direct dialing of a single ISDN line using the Prima's Internal Terminal Adapter.
     
    Depressing the DIAL key begins the dialing sequence. The LCD display will prompt the user to select either the last number (port and bit rate) dialed (LAST#), or which TA port to dial from(1-6).The user selects which port to use by either pressing the desired port number on the dial keypad, or using the arrow keys to select a port and pressing the ENTER key to go to the next step. For LAST#, the dialing begins immediately. For ports 1-6, the bit rate, 56K or 64K, is selected using the arrow keys and the ENTER key. The next step in the sequence asks for the actual number to be dialed. The last number dialed by the selected port is displayed on the LCD screen. to dial that number, simply press the ENTER key. To enter a new number, Simply use the dial keypad to enter the number, then press ENTER. (Be sure to include the 1 + area code for long distance calls)

  • "SDIAL" - The SDIAL key is used to execute a Speed dial entry. When the SDIAL key is pressed, the LCD screen prompts for the Speed Dial ID number. The ID number is entered by using the dial keypad and pressing ENTER.

  • "SDSET" - The SDSET key is used to set up a Speed dial entry and to maintain the speed dial directory. Depressing this key brings up the Spd Dial Menu tree. From this tree, the following options are available:

  1. Save CRNT
  2. Add Entry
  3. View Dir
  4. Edit Dir
  5. Del Entry
  6. Clear All

"Save CRNT" - Saves Current settings to a Speed Dial Entry.
When this menu item is entered, the user is prompted to enter a Description. Use the alphanumeric keypad followed by the ENTER key to enter the desired description for the speed dial entry. If there are no ISDN connections established, then the speed dial entry will be created as a quick configuration.

"Add Entry" - Creates a Speed Dial Entry.
When this menu item is entered, the user is prompted through the following information:

  1. Description : Use the alphanumeric keypad followed by the ENTER key to enter the desired description for the speed dial entry.

  2. Sel EBR : Select the Encoder bit rate and press ENTER. (32K - 384K)

  3. Sel ESR : Select the Encoder Sampling Rate and press ENTER.(16K - 48K)

  4. Sel EAL : Select the Encoder Algorithm and press ENTER.(MPEGL2, MPEGL3, CCSO, CCSN, or G.722)

  5. Sel EAM : Select the Encoder Algoritm mode and press ENTER.(Mono, Dual Mono, Joint Stereo, Stereo, or M1)

  6. Sel ELI : Select the Encoder Line Format. (1LN,CCS 2LN, H2216LN or Ind. Mono)

  7. Sel DIN : Select the Decoder Independent Mode. (YES or NO)

  8. Sel DAL : Select the Decoder Algorithm and press ENTER.(MPEGL2, MPEGL3, CCSO, CCSN, or G.722)(*Not shown if DIN=NO)

  9. Sel DLI : Select the Decoder Line Format. (1LN,CCS 2LN, H2216LN or Ind. Mono) (*Not shown if DIN=NO)

  10. Numb #'s: Select the number of ISDN #'s to dial. (Select 1 for quick configuration)

  11. Num X: Enter the ISDN number to dial for port X and press ENTER. (X=1-6) For quick configuration, enter a # symbol, which tells the Prima to do the setup without actually dialing a number.

  12. Watch LCD screen for the Speed Dial ID number assigned to the entry.

"View Dir" - View a Speed Dial Entry.
When this menu item is entered, the arrow keys are used to scroll through all of the current Speed dial entries. ENTER selects the entry and allows the user to scroll through the settings of the speed dial entry.

"Edit Dir" - Edit a Speed Dial Entry.
When this menu item is entered, the arrow keys are used to scroll through all of the current Speed dial entries. ENTER selects the entry and allows the user to scroll through the settings of the speed dial entry, and press ENTER again to modify each of the settings.

"Del Entry" - Delete a Speed Dial Entry.
When this menu item is entered, the user enters the ID number of the entry to be deleted followed by the ENTER key.

"Clear All" - Delete all Speed Dial Entries.
When this menu item is entered, All speed dial entries are deleted.

  • "END" - The end key is used to hang up ISDN lines.
    Press END to bring up the HANGUP menu item. Select either ALL (for all lines) or 1-6 and press ENTER.

"CUE" - Cue Controls (120,220, & 230 Only)

  • "ON 1" and "OFF 1"-These keys control the status of CI1 which is a simulated switch.

  • "ON 2" and "OFF 2"-These keys control the status of CI1 which is a simulated switch.

"HP" - Headphone Controls (120,220, & 230 Only)

  • "VOL +" and "VOL -"-These keys adjust the Headphone output volume.

  • "ENC"-These keys control the output source of the headphone jack for the audio input to the Encoder. The choices are: Encoder left channel, Encoder right channel, or Encoder left and right channels.

  • "DEC"-These keys control the output source of the headphone jack for the audio input to the Decoder. The choices are: Decoder left channel, Decoder right channel, or Decoder left and right channels.

"MENU" - Menu Hotkeys (120,220, & 230 Only)

  • "COM", "ENC", "DEC", and "MAINT"- These menu hotkeys are shortcuts to the Common(COM), Encoder(ENC), Decoder(DEC), and Maint(MAINT) menu tree items.


The following buttons only appear on the front panel of the CDQPrima 230.

  • "NORM" - The NORM key is used to set the CDQPrima's VU display to "Normal Mode", which is a standard VU level display.

  • "CORR" - The CORR key is used to set the CDQPrima's VU display to "Correlation Mode"

  • "IMAGE" - The IMAGE key is used to set the CDQPrima's VU display to "Stereo Image Mode"

  • "TEST" - The TEST key is used to test the CDQPrima 230 VU display by illuminating all of the LED's at once.

MEASUREMENT Keys (CDQPrima230 Model Only)

  • "FFT" - The FFT key is used to display an FFT measurement sweep of the audio input to the CDQPrima 230.

  • "PHASE" - The PHASE key is used to display a Left Right phase measurement of the audio input to the CDQPrima 230.

  • "T1" - The T1 key is used to display an FFT measurement sweep of the audio output from the CDQPrima 230.

  • "T2" - The T2 key is used to display a Left Right phase measurement of the audio output from the CDQPrima 230.

FUNCTION Keys F1-F8 (CDQPrima230 Model Only)

  • "F1-F8" - The function keys are hot keys used to perform advanced command strings. The "Hot Keys" can be defined in the [Hot Key] menu found under [Common] in the menu tree.
